I've just gotten finished with g_gametype 9, wanted to let the mappers out there know what was going on.

"Jump Map Training"

JMT puts players in "god mode", you can still shoot but all that can kill you is trigger_hurt or lemmings.  A leg-break will cause you to limp but not do any damage/is bandageable.  So you can't hurt anyone else but are still allowed to shoot and goof around - if you're alive you're always at 100% life.

Mappers can place up to 32 of a new entity in the urban terror .def called a jump goal.

It displays in JMT as a little spinning blue crystal, each one you collect adds a frag and lets you know how many more goals there are to collect, as well as notifying other players of which goal you've just collected - they have a number or a name each.

Once a player has hit all the goals, the maps over.

HOPEFULLY this'll allow mappers to update their jump maps to make competitive scenarios - I'd love to hear some feedback on this!

FAQ:

Q) Is stamina drain/recovery the same?
A) Yeah.

... And I thought people agreed some weeks ago that the mappers are making to many jump maps. Thanks to this there will be even more jump maps.

Although I suppose the competition while playing makes it better.

JMT puts players in "god mode"
Finally we can go practice nade-jumps and HK-jumps  afro

Ow well btw while i'm at this thread. Maybe a feature that allows people to save and load jump routes that's displayed (in the color of their selected armband-color on the map only visible for them) as a line ?
I think such feature might help the beginner jumper to understand how to make the harder jumps if they know which 'jump line' to follow.

Such feature was implemented in ETpro.

What about making player "non-solid", so people don't block each others?

Even though I generally despise jump servers, I have to admit you've done something that will please most of the community. Man, you work your ass off on this shit two-sev! I can't wait to see the new gibs...! Or not. Either way, I know 4.2 is going to be badass and probably have some cool secret shit we don't even know about yet.

Most? rolleyes

If that's true then I don't want to be here anymore. I don't think it is. Some do the jump thing, but most still play to actually shoot once in a while.

It'll please me. I still like to shoot stuff, but learning to jump better will make me better at shooting stuff in other game modes. Plus the fact that this is a competitive gamemode (I love competition Cheesy)
