The 3rd 1v1 Tourament of Terror Signups Are Open!

The third 1v1 Tournament of Terror!

Sign-ups are open now for the third 1v1 Tournament of Terror! Simply log in or register, set your country flag and contact info, and then click on the “Sign up” button.

The tourney is open world-wide; each continent gets its own bracket, so the pings will be good. You can view last season's EU tourney here, and NA tourney here. This time around we hope to add brackets for South America and Australia too.

Whether you're out to prove you are the best Urban Terror player in the world, or if you just want to have a couple fun 1v1 matches and maybe learn a thing or two along the way, this is the competition for you. All skill levels are welcome to join, and those who are new to the tournament will be seeded together in the middle of the pack, which means new players will play against each other in the first round of the tourney. And those who claim they are the best now have a chance to prove it.

Our tried and tested format for a great 1v1 UrT experience is: team survivor, best 2 out of 3 maps, with a 10 minute map timelimit, 2 minute round times. Each week a specific map is chosen by the tourney, and your whole match will be played on that specific map - and the maps we choose are good for 1v1, like turnpike, abbey, casa, etc. Players have 1 week to play their next match, and they sort out the scheduling with each other. Servers will be made available by the community to those who need to borrow one.

Remember to set your country flag in your profile so we know which bracket to put you in. Anyone who does not set their country flag will be disqualified.

Just a little update, we now have almost 200 players signed up!

Ideally we need:

- 48 more Euros to make a 128 player bracket
- 14 more North Americans to make a 64 player bracket
- 3 more South Americans to make a 16 player bracket
- 5 more Asia region players to make a 16 player bracket

And we have exactly 32 already for the Australia/New Zealand bracket.

Actually there are already 12 players from Asia signed up if you count 'Whatever'. 'Whatever' is from DF clan. I dont know why he didnt select a country. But I have spoken to his clanmates about it, and they have already told him. I will continue to invite players here in Asia and hope for the best that we could make it to 16 players.

PS Bludshot = There 're some euro guys with GTV servers. Dont hesitates to ask them to use their GTV services for broadcasting matches between Euro players. Scene here _is_ more active.

The scheduling is generally up to the players, so, having the league coordinate GTV is pretty hard to do (since the matches don't happen on a specific night and time). I'll see if x8 wants to do anything with regards to GTV, but if not, certainly the players and clans are welcome to do up the GTV stuff on their own.

yeah, GTV would be nice, but not really useful until the final weeks since there are sooo many matches. i hope to be able to continue to present "matches of week" with the demos after certain weeks. as is though, people are welcome to sub and watch the matches in real time. thanks for the offer though, and I actually have an idea for a world tournament of sorts at the end of the season which i hope will happen

Sign ups have been closed, and I'm in the process of making the brackets. I hope to have them out by the end of this weekend, but that's also pending real life work I have to do.
