Better Player AI CTF player AI seems to be broken. Rate Topic: -----

Didn't know if to put this into bugs reports/suggestions or not, so I decided to play it safe and post here. Please move it to the appropriate forum.

So I was playing some CTF on some server... And on most maps NPCs (ie: not me) were playing fine and all on maps where they could easily get to the flag (and get cut down)... But none of them were trying to capture the flag. It's as if they're afraid of it. Also, 3-4 NPCs were camping the flag and sucking at it while I'm juggling trying to cap /and/ defend.

Note to the Devs:

- Incorperate flag capping into player AI.
- Incorperate flag escorting. Player AIs seem to not notice a player capping the enemy flag.
- Player AIs (on both red and blue) seem to not know if they have the flag or not. Example: Player AI with enemy flag decides to go back to friendly base but friendly flag is not there, so player AI decides to head to enemy base with enemy flag.
- Make player AIs stop defending if there are a certain amount of players defending.
- Make injured player AIs notice medics, conversely make medic player AIs notice injured players.
- Incorperate better pathfinding, player AI get stuck easily.
- Add some more waypoints towards red flag in Uptown CTF. Red player AI seems to have trouble finding and defending their own flag.
- Player AIs aim seems to like using alot of smoke grenades on small maps. Probability of player AIs using smoke grenades on small maps seems to grow in proportion to how small the map is (the smaller the map, the more the player AIs use smokes) regardless of whether or not smoking is advantageous. Player AIs should still use smokes, however it should be that the proportion of AIs using smokes should be the opposite of what it is now (larger the map, the more chance that the player AIs will use smoke).
- Player AIs seem to not notice enemies behind them. Can be corrected with one of three methods: A) Player AIs have 360 degree vision, B) player AIs look behind them every once in a while or C) player AIs know where every player is on the map at all times. I recommend methods B and C, as player AIs seem to not notice enemies they see but are not in front of the crosshair. I'm tired of watching their asses.
- Fix unresponsive player AI bug. Seriously, I see at least one of them in every game (and up to half the team) and it's a waste to have vegetables clogging up player slots for actual players.
